From the City of Hope in Ubulu-Okiti, Delta State, the Obediah Foundation serves widows, orphans, pupils, readers and farmers.
For twenty years the foundation has served Ubulu-Okiti and beyond: caring for widows and orphans, supporting pupils, opening a public library and farming for the future.
Rooted in Ubulu-Okiti
The foundation carries the name of Pa Obediah Chukwuka Mafiana (1912–1983): teacher, railwayman and farmer of Ubulu-Okiti, remembered for his integrity, generosity and faith.
His daughter, Pastor Edith Ifeoma Chukwuogo, founded the Obediah Foundation in 2005 to continue his legacy of service. Its home, the City of Hope at Igbedie Hills, stands on the Asaba–Benin Expressway in Pa Obediah's hometown.

In the community
Beyond its programmes, the foundation shares the big days of Ubulu-Okiti with its people: a youth football league at Christmas, a Christmas celebration for widows and children, and days with the town's schools.
Obediah Farms
Making agriculture greener, sustainable, more efficient and affordable.
Pa Obediah returned to farming during the civil war and taught his neighbours better ways to grow and store food. Obediah Farms, the foundation's agricultural arm, continues that work at the City of Hope.

Our founder
Pastor Edith Ifeoma Chukwuogo
Pastor Edith Ifeoma Chukwuogo is a chemist, educator, pastor and philanthropist. She graduated from the University of Benin with a degree in Industrial Chemistry and lectured at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, from 1983 to 1994.
She is the proprietor of the Jephthah schools in Port Harcourt, Chief Executive of Feonica Technologies, and Grand Patron of Christian Friends of Israel. Through the Obediah Foundation and her other ministries, she has touched the lives of children, adults, widows and many others in need.
She is the author of Jehovah God my Father, Obediah my father, a book of the lessons she learnt from her father and from the Word of God.

The library serves students, readers and entrepreneurs in the community. Please call before visiting to confirm opening times.
